Im gonna start a Blog Thingie......

Ok guys, I am gonna give this blog thingie a try.
I have read the input from our moderator, route 66 and other comments from others here on IRV2 also. I have gone to the ''link'' provided and looked at this Blog thingie and it seems simple enough for me to follow.
A couple of things that kinda bother me is how the heck you guys gonna know when I put new stuff on these blogs if I happen to start two of them? I guess someone will be able to tell me or you will just have to ''drop by'' on occasion when you need new paper in your birdcage or for your hamster to poop on.

I want everyone to understand that I AM NOT A WRITER AS SUCH. I write the way I talk and most of the time my sentence structure will not be proper and if the spell check on this machine poops out,,,,,, ''you are on your own'' as to figuring out what I am trying to say.

I thank you all again for the words of encouragement concerning this and I shall give this my ''best shot'' as to keeping it entertaining and within sight of the real truth as I know it. I will take poetic liberties but all stories will be based on FACT as I remember them.

I wish to state now that this work will be dedicated to the following; Every person in our military forces regardless of color or stripe, rank or rating.......
Each and every Veteran that has served this great nation with their time and effort to keep this great country free.

My postings will be of the ''first person'' narrative and I think I shall call the blog ...''
''My Life as I Remember it.......... and other boring stuff''

I will keep you posted on here as to the Blog addresses and will probably put some sort of link here on IRV2 as to how to get to the blog.

Word to the wise. If this gets to be too demanding of my time or too boring or ''not fun'' or not visited or whatever. I will just forget it and move on with my life. I may change my mind about the whole thing and just forget about it all together. Time will tell ......

So, you are going from a sailor to a blog.

That's an improvement.

Seajay,

Maybe it's just me --- I like the way you've posted in the past. Easy for me to see you've added another great story in the "Just Conversation" forum --- not as easy to remember to seek you out in the "Blog" section.

I enjoy your posts - would hate to miss any. Maybe the blog thing will work --- funny though, I just looked at your five blog stories and noticed nobody has commented on any of them. Great part of just posting is others always seem to have replies.

Again, maybe it's just me (I should add yours is the first blog I've ever looked at --- here and anywhere else). Just some thoughts from another old sailor . . .

Warren you may have a point my friend. I have never tried the blog thing like so many have suggested. heck, I am not even sure how to tell folks that i got a Blog and where it is. I will try it for a while and see how it goes and if it dont work out for me I can always come back to "Just Conversation'' and do like I always did. Here is the scoop. I am going to go back and find all my posts from the past concerning my stuff and put them in the blog. that way, folks that are interested can simply go to the Blog and read up and catch up on stuff from the past. I might continue to post on Just Conversation like usual and then transfer a copy to the blog for final records or something. (life gets confusing dont it)..... lets let it ''cook'' for a time and see what happens by posting on the blog.
ATTENTION ALL WHO CARE......... I GOT A BLOG SOMEWHERE ON IRV2 BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO FIND IT.
that may work.

Seajay, I just found your blog site and thoroughly enjoyed every submission. Thanks for the chuckles and for queuing some of my memories of my first childhood.

Nice Seajay Now all ya got ta do is reproduce it on Blogger.com so that you can customize the look and feel so it ends up feeling like an Mark Twain novel that you've had for years and is a bit old and little shelf warn, but you've read it countless times .
