Indiana Members

Glen, Follow the River is a pretty nice campground. They have a nice paved walking trail around the park on the back side.
I would have to say I like being closer to the water.....Little Farm on the River let's us watch the barges go by.
Winterizing won't take too long! Starve Hollow Nov 7th? I'll just be getting back from a Las Vegas SEMA convention.

Indy Glenn - we're in 141. Weather doesn't look like it'll be too good for camping or football, but we'll make the best of it! Looking forward to the Barn Dance Friday - our girls are super excited for that. Checked on line and the entire campground is full, so should be a fun time Saturday evening.

Wanabes - how was Raccoon Lake?

This will be our final trip of the year, so I'll get to spend some quality time doing a thorough black tank cleanout. Fun!!

It was beautiful. The DH has gotten very good at selecting sites online. This one was as level as they get there. The fire pit was tucked away well behind the camper. It felt like we had 1/2 acre to ourselves. While we were at the fire one night, I looked up to our patio and saw a racoon creeping up on our super lazy, sleeping English Setter. I'd bet it was within 7 feet of him heading toward him. I ran as fast as I could and scared it off. The setter never even saw it. The trails are GREAT! We almost literally bumped into a deer.
We really enjoyed it. Thank you for asking!

That sounds like our experience. Felt very secluded on our site as well.
We'll go back without a doubt, but will probably do what we did this year and go later in the season to avoid the huge boating crowds. Nice and peaceful is how we like it!!

Glenn - sorry we missed you. We snuck out for a quick trip around the loop to T or T, but lots of people were still inside since it had been raining.

It was a horrendous night to TorT.

I was across the road from my camper in the double white canopies you may have seen - we were all ready for th kids but only one showed up - I bet it was yours.

We did walk our pup more thank once past your site but no one was outside - who could blame you. Well as they say, next time............

BTW - we are still here and what a great day yesterday..............head back to the house today.

Some people on this thread got together this past summer for a weekend "camporee", they said they had a fantastic time - perhaps next year another one will be set up and we can meet up then.

Take care,

g

We love camping in Indiana, The state park are very nice and close enough for weekend getaways. Stayed overnight at Prophetstown the Thursday before Labor day on our way to Michigan. We will definitely be back
