Well, we finally got some more camping dates set for this summer/fall.

Mid-August - heading to South Haven, MI for the weekend. A little farther than we normally go for a 2 night stay, but an easy drive and can't resist the water/beach.

Sept - two trips, one to Summit Lake SP and another to Prophetstown for Purdue football homecoming. FHU sites were all taken at Prophetstown, but not a big deal for us.

Also already looking forward to next summer and doing a bit of planning. Had originally thought about heading to Maine (Acadia), but may be heading back out west. This time just to Black Hills so we can see/do more in that area. And, probably just 10 days vs 16. My in-laws have heard our stories and seen our pictures and really want to get out that way. Will be finalizing dates over the next month so we can be sure to get the reservations we want.

Hope all is well with the Indiana crowd.

Pete

Is anyone here going to be at the Brown County KOA the first two weeks of October this fall? Or at the Middlebury KOA the last two weeks of September?

I was born and raised in Elkhart county so we're going back to visit friends and relatives this fall. I've always heard how beautiful Brown County was in the fall so we're going to stop there for a couple of weeks too after leaving Middlebury. Then snow bird it south for the winter.

We may be going "Out West" next summer too......There is an FMCA rally next August in Minot, ND - may head upon there and then down to the Rapid City area and Black Hills. FMCA rallies mare a lot of fun and towables are now allowed to join.

This September we are heading back to the Smokies, looking forward to that.

We just returned from a week at Prophetstown. Still my favorite state park. It was hot and humid and lightning struck the site next to us but all is well. It amazes me how much of of difference there is between state parks and how they are maintained and operated.

Last we were out was Summit Lake on Memorial Day. Finally have plans for Labor Day week.
Alum Creek OH Labor Day weekend, then up to Niagara Falls at Branches of the Niagara. Will ride the new ebikes 10 miles to the falls[emoji3] and back. Then the next four days either travel back through Canada and check out the parks along the north side of Lake Erie or head back the USA way.
Scheduled the coach for some window defogging and some touch up painting (lost the water heater door and it now sticks out like a sore thumb) in Searcy AR at the Fog Dr.
Coach has been sitting in storage for far too long.

You'll SO enjoy your e-bikes. Dave & I got a pair 2 years ago. We regularly do 20 miles on a weekend easily. A comfy seat is a must. There's miles & miles of trails around us. Check out TrailLink website. I use that site to find nearby trails everywhere we go.

They certainly flatten the hills! And we get as much exercise as we want.

We just completed our first year with our E-bikes!! We use folding electric bikes that we carry in our toad. They are always available to us and we ride them for miles and we get to see a lot more of the areas where we camp.

We are leaving for the western states next week and plan on a return to Indiana in Sept before we head out to Florida for the winter months when we really use the bikes almost every day.

They certainly do flatten out the hills and take the heavy breathing out of the riding!!

We have been looking at some options on folding E bikes. Which models did you purchase?

We've had EG Vienna's for 2 years. Not a lick of problems. They easily fold to fit in the back of our CRV, which keeps them WAY cleaner than hanging off the back of the CRV/coach on a bike rack & being inside the CRV w/tinted windows, keeps them secure. The batteries are kept inside the frame, safe & dry.

We got more comfortable/gel seats & put tote bags on the back. One pic below is from the bikeshop where we got them. The other is actually Dave's tricked out with the seat & tote.

We easily do 20 miles on a weekend without tiring. 25 miles is about the battery limit, on the lowest power setting & when we're coming back uphill. There are 3 assist settings & a boost switch (for that last little push at the top of a hill). Retail is ~$1200.

If you have any specific questions about them, post & I'll gladly answer.

Yeah. We're for certain taking them to AD in the fall....even though we're on the lower level near the beach.

Steve

We bought Platinum E-bikes from Wise Innovations. We found them thru watching video reviews on EBR [Electric Bike Reviews}

I liked the mid-drive motor placement and the in-the-hub gears with no deraileur
hanging loose. It is a slick design. We rode several different models before purchasing.
We ride in Florida for days at 5 to 20 miles each time before recharging. The batteries are lithium made by Samsung and are 14ah
Go to wiseinnovationtechnologies.com or to the EBR site and review them.

Those do look nice. Clean design with the 7 speed geared hub. I need to put those on my list to compare.
Been also looking at the Enzo.
There are so many options out there with price ranges all over the place.
