I saw this interesting motor home the other day. Does anyone have any stories or other information about it?

WOW! That is odd in so many ways.
Bars on the windows - but is it to keep people out or in?
Snorkle air cleaner, perhaps for crossing rivers???
And what's up with the additional framework around the windshield? Maybe bullet-proof plexiglas?
And check out the small tires with only singles on the rear, so it can't weigh too much.
Odd - very odd, indeed!

Mr. Zambon even has his blood type on the driver door. That, and the bars, makes you think he plans camping in areas other than where i would be happy

It looks like it is set up for desert use. It has a sun shielding roof skin with air gap, and the color looks to blend in to desert landscapes.

Curious!

With what Nick-B pointed out, I'm guessing a tourist bus for some type of animal habitat. The bars are to keep animals out.

I cannot read the plate, but it does not appear to be U.S. I have a relative who does the doctors without borders thing, and they have some specialized equipment and vehicles. They do not always go to safe places. Maybe some connection? What state was this seen in?

When we were in Alaska we came across two couples who had their RV's, one a Flair and the other a Toyota with a trailer. One of the couples was from Austria and the other from Australia. They had their units delivered to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and then they drove the Pan American Highway for the bottom of South America to the top of North America. Both of their rigs were specially equipped in one fashion or another. Perhaps this may be something similar. Just a guess.

All that gear seems kind of useless when you're still only running 10 inches of ground clearance.

It also looks like it has reflective material inside or all the side windows. Seems like that would not make for a good sight seeing vehicle.
I think that front window is built that way because it tilts out for air circulation. It appears to be tilted out in the picture. I'm guessing that snorkel air cleaner is for road dust, not water.
