IRV2 Forum

In my opinion this is the best forum on the internet when it comes to RVing. Do you agree and why?

I will start it off, the folks on this forum are some of the best RV'ers out there. They are truly interested in trying to help a fellow RVer, no matter what the problem or question maybe. I am new to this forum, but have been on a few others in the past and I have run into some not so nice folks. I have read hundreds of threads and posts on this forum and they have all been about trying to help when a question is asked and none acting like you must be an idiot for asking such a dumb question.

So now what do you think?

I may be some what new here, but Yes I would agree 100% I have had alot of my questions answered without asking...just reading. Lots of good info, quick responces, and it appears that most are very pationate about RVing, family and country..and you are made to feel at home. Big thumbs up from me

We have our differences, but in the end it comes down to one answer that is the right answer.

I concur.

No other RV-related sites like this one.

Kudos to the moderators, and all who have answered my n00b questions lately.

Why is iRV2 a great site?
That's a easy one. It is a FAMILY site, by FAMILY I mean our extended Family, all our members treat one another as family lending a hand when one of us needs help with something.
Sure, sometimes we get a little short with someone, but we never attack them as on other sites and if we do go over the line, we get a little slap on the wrist and told if we do it again, it's goodbye to this great site.

After being on other sites I finally ran across IRV2 and found a home. It is so comfortable here that I no longer visit any other forums. I find the people very friendly and helpful without the attitude of other sites. It doesn't matter if you have a new class A or a well used popup, your still family.

posts per day

Like many others, I enjoy and appreciate IRV2 forum.

But I'm also wondering if there is a medal for most posts per day ?

If so, does it go to DRosedale ?

Seems most new threads I see have been started by DRosedale.

I'm looking forward to time in my days when I can compete against DRosedale's post percentage.

I agree with what has been said before. The one thing that I think seperates this forum from others, is the rules and the moderators that inforce them. They don't allow the "I'm right and you are wrong" attitude that I believe is the biggest thing wrong in the world today.

No medals that I know of, but I do enjoy this forum and RVing. By reading the post and threads I have learned a ton about RVing. We first started in the 50's with army surplus wool blankets and pine needles for mattresses. Then we got army surplus pup tents, then we moved up in the world and got sleeping bags and air mattresses to go in our tents. We thought there couldn't be anything better. Then my dad bought a well used popup, and hey there was something better than a tent and sleeping bag after all.

After getting married in 1971, the DW and I saved and saved and again bought a well used TT, man that was the life. We had that trailer for years, but sold it for one of the new lite weight TT, that was even a little longer than our old TT. Now as we say down South we were in tall cotton.

We sold the TT a couple of years ago and just bought our first MH in March of this year. Now let me tell you, we are in real tall cotton.

So when it comes to camping there is not much haven't done. Even with the TT's I think I could take most of it apart blindfolded and put it back together, but with the MH I found out real quick, I knew nothing about it.

As to the time I spend on the forum, it helps me pass the time until our next trip. My feel is that if I not out traveling at least I can read and talk about it.

Since the DW and I are both retired and our two kids are grown and on their own (Same gal for almost 41 years) she thinks she needs to find things for me to do. This way I just tell her I'm learning more about the MH and she smiles and leaves me alone. Hey so far it works.

Didn't mean to get so long winded, but I think she was looking around for something for me to do.

I am trying to convince DW that i have some official capacity that requires me to be on this site so much. Could we get an iRV2 patch to ware that would make it LOOK official.
