I've been listening to the news on two different stations for the past hour. One woman was trampled, a woman used pepper spray to drive away other shoppers so she could get first dibs on things (then someone--the police, a fire dept. captain, or a Walmart spokes person, depending on which news report I read--had the gall to call the assaults "competitive shopping!"), various brawls and fights for merchandise, robbers ambushing people outside of the stores, and even a possible case of police brutality/over reaction to a possible shoplifting (this happened in Buckeye, AZ; most AZ cities, if not the State, require that shoplifting suspects can't be apprehended until they try to leave the store without paying which wasn't done here). Disgusting!

On the MSN home page is a link to black Friday incidents that happened today. I remember two cases of gunshot wounds at shopping centers, a rash of incidents at wal-mart, including pepper spray from a policeman trying to arrest a woman, that sicken about 15 people, a woman who was upset at others cutting in front of her and her 2 children, so she pepper sprayed them and left. That is just a smattering of what you find in that link.

End of story, we stayed home today.

They do not sell anything cheap enough on BLACK FRIDAY that I want or need enough to put up with the crows of rude people. I save money and stay home.
