Pizza is not a vegtable. It's a balanced meal per congress as you have Tomato Sauce (They declared the Tomato, a fruit, to be a vetetable years ago) Starch (Bread/cereal/crust) and Dairy (Cheese) and meat (Peperoni) all you lack is a Fruit (jello, which is sugar water).

Now if you want my opinion of that.. I am going to have to disappoint you. There are rules on these forums against posts that set your monitor on fire.

Even if you pack a lunch for your children there are some school systems that INSPECT your childs lunch to make sure you packed them a PROPER lunch.

How can the schools do any better with healthy food choices for kids when you and I as consumers can't even buy unaltered food to cook? Kroger hamburger is enhanced with beef flavoring. The pork is "moist and tender", and all the poultry is scarred with injection marks from salt water called natural flavors. Just named Kroger but the other grocers are guilty as well. It has happened so slowly we didn't even notice the flavors changing. So I guess if the sauce is really made of tomatoes, maybe it is a healthy alternative.

Congress is basicly a committee. A committee is where a group people get together and pool their ignorance.

FWIW,
The concept of ketchup as a vegetable came out of the Food and Nutrition Service during Regan's first term. It was met with such an uproar that it met the death is so richly deserved. The concept behind the idea was to save money on the school lunch program.

By declaring Pizza to be a veggie. That means congress can drink during "working" lunches. Oops -- they think beer is a juice, and start the hard stuff at lunch. Judging by their actions, they start the day stoned.
The pizza decision may be the most important action this year. Wow we pay them well for all their labor. For life too.
