It's a sad day.....

A few years ago we met two wonderful people at the local campground, Joe & Betty Clark. They are the kind of folks that you just like instantly. We camped with them many times and learned to love them as if they were family. We didn't get to see them as often as we would have liked since they lived about 100 miles from us, but we kept in touch by phone.

A year or so ago they found out that Betty had a malignant brain tumor. She went through many months of chemo and radiation, and it seemed the cancer was in remission for a while. Joe called me this morning and gave me the heart-breaking news that the cancer had returned and there was no hope for recovery. The doctors gave them the choice of additional treatment that might extend her life for a short time, or hospice. She immediately chose hospice. Joe did not ask the doctors how much time she has. He preferred not to know.

I know without a doubt that Betty is ready to meet her Lord, so that is not an issue. I ask you to pray for Joe and Betty as they go through this difficult time. I hope that Joe will keep his 5th wheel and continue to camp after all this is over. He & Betty love camping so much.

Thank you for lifting up this special couple in your prayers!

What a shame, Joe. I'm so sorry to hear this. Blessings to Joe and Betty, and to you for being a good friend.

I remind myself what it says in the book of James, Chap 4 or 5. About the brevity of life. It is like a vapor, here and it is gone.
Our prayers are for comfort and peace at this difficult time.

Just lost a dear friend with a brain tumor and it wasn't pretty. Hope everything goes well for them and may God bless all their friends like you. My thoughts and prayers are with them.
