We are even expecting to get a dusting, which is real rare. Good luck to everyone and hope all stay safe and you don't loose power.

Well Sunday morning @ 6:48 am est Rochester NY and we have only about 2 inches. It seems this was "the perfit storm" that wasn't.Man all those folks that bought out all the s/blowers at Lowes where I work P/T are going to be mad. Maybe we could put up afew more chunks of metal in outspace to help get it right.LOL

Hi All,

Hey Fleamarketer, I to am glad that we did not get what they said, but wish it was snow rather then this icey stuff !!!! After work today wife & I are going up to our summer house were the MH is kept to see if we can get it out, and get it ready to head south the end of this month! Funny thing is summer home is about 60 miles North West of us, so who know what it will be like up there !!!! Anyway if it is to bad now, it looks like next weekend will be better, but then again these guy's have tobe just guessing when they tell us the weather !!!!!

We first arrived in Rochester in January of 1971. The freeway was closed at the Rochester exit and we were sent to the Holiday Inn near there.

That was (IIRC) a saturday and I was to be at work at Stromberg Carlson on the next monday. We didn't get out of the motel until Wednesday.

I forget the total amount of snow (about 24") but I recall the police asking for snowmobile help in moving groceries and medicine to people in need. Also for Doctors to make emergency calls.

Not what you want to see when you're camping

or having to drive through an ice storm! This was enough to make me want to cry when I got out and saw the salt and grime on the camper
