Had a Lagavulin 16 then on a whim a side by side sampling of Glenlivet 12 and 18.

So what are you drinking?

I'm enjoying a nice Kirkland brand Premium Small Batch bourbon, 7 years old, 103 proof, and pretty darn tasty for $20/litre. Bought a case last time I was in Kentucky. I like it that much.

I decant it into fancy-schmancy decanters so my snobby bourbon friends will be impressed.

I am drinking a Guinness Draught. The beer that demands a good chew before swallowing.

My father and mother (both departed) stayed with us for several weeks years ago. My Dad had a bottle of Cabernet Savignion on the counter and drank a three fingered glass every night at the same hour.

My wife and I had a meeting in SF and went to the Napa wine country after while my parents were at our home. At every winery I bought the best Cabernet they had and carried two cases home on the plane. I could hardy wait to surprise my dad. I opened one of the cases with a flourish and made the presentation of what was probably a forty dollar bottle of wine.

My dad took it and looked it over then said "but I drink Gallo burgundy".

"Dad" I said "you have this bottle of Cabernet right here on the counter". "Yes, he said, "but I have a gallon jug of Gallo burgundy in the garage and I fill the bottle with a funnel".

It pays to ask.

Tonight, me? Bourbon Whiskey, Batch No. 7, Bottle No. 3421, Woodinville Whiskey Co.

Thom is having an Angry Orchard Hard Cider with dinner. I am drinking Crystal Lite Dragon Peach. After dinner we will go thru his lines for the play he is in and after that we will go out for some karaoke and he will have a beer or 2 and I will have some 7 up.

Tanqueray and tonic water with a twist of lime. A civilized drink that will not rot my insides as will diet this or that. I'll spend my wealth as I choose thank you.

Crown Royal on the rocks in front of a roaring campfire. We're the only ones in the state park campground in Muskegon MI!

Great story. My mother was a closet Mogen David sipper.

I'm having cocoa tonight. I'm cold.

Siting here in S. TX with a little Canadian and 7UP in hand. The cold front and rain came pouring through from the north, to remind me, why I am here.
