I like to try different Scotches, mostly single malts, and mainly Highlanders. My recent discovery is Aberfeldy, a 12 yr Highland, for under $40. I like some of the Islays, but some are to smoky and peaty for me. I would say that Glennoragie or McCallan would be my staples.

Rum, Simple Syrup (sugar water), Lime, Mint and Club Soda. Very refreshing and can be quite kicka$$ if you put in enough Rum.

Alberta Premium Dark Horse

It's a Canadian rye that is one of the few rye whiskeys that is actually made from "rye". Very unique.
