Ummm... I think we can blame it on Al Gorp. Didn't he invent "Global Warming"? No... wait, that was the inner web he claimed to invent.

When you can use the cold water spigot to make hot chocolate, then you can call it hot.

When you can't walk out to get your mail, barefoot, without getting 2nd burns, then you can call it hot.

When you can measure your cold tire temperature at 190s then you can call it hot.

When you can see a mirage by looking across your back yard, then you can call it hot.

When you can....

Help me guys. When you can what to call it hot?

We have "Stick" lizards. They carry a stick on their back as they run across the sand. When their feet get too hot, they stop, stick the stick in the ground and climb up it to cool their feet. :truestory:

I once worked on a pipeline job in Nevada, it was so hot that the rattlesnakes carried waterbags. (You old guys remember waterbags don't you?)

Dang - knew you were joking again, but had to look it up and sure enough:

True eccentrics of the Sonoran landscape, stick lizards distance themselves from the scorching heat of the deserts sand by perching atop an upright stick for up to ten hours a day. Off-hours, the stick is carried in the lizard's mouth. Although considered cold-blooded, stick lizards are believed to be the only reptile to exhibit warm-blooded characteristics. They store sunlight through the process of resergilation, absorbing great quantities of energy through glands in the back of their throat. At night, resergial enzymes transform this into heat-emitting bioluminescence, warming the lizards and spectacularly illuminating their head. Stick lizards also feed at night, dieting mainly on the fruits of the monster cactus.

and my one liners:
It's so hot, I saw a dog chasing a rabbit today. They were both walking.

It's so hot, drug dealers are selling something called "Iced Crackuccino."

Stop here if easily offended

It's so hot, hookers are charging 50 dollars just to blow on you.

It's hotter than a two-peckered billy goat TeeHee
