Happy bird with eggs, I can wait a few weeks for them to fly away.

Last week at a campground, the neighbor reached in to the gooseneck of his 5th wheel, and pulled out a ton of nest material.
Another camper, who had been there for a while, saw birds flying under his motorhome. He was going to leave soon, so he looked under to see what was what. Found a nest on top of the muffler. Good thing he found it before he left, and the muffler got hot. Could have started a fire ??

Birds are nice.....
My 1990 mH had a Ford 460, getting ready for a trip I had to remove a huge squirrels nest from on top of the engine. Extended to the manifolds on both sides and higher than the air cleaner. About a month later the squirrels ate the wires off the top of my fuel tank, just to get even. Had to drop the tank to repair.. Bushy tailed tree rats!!!!

We have to leave the cover off the propane tanks when at home because house-wrens are obsessed with making nests under it. :(

Found a nest in one of my mirror covers when I picked the rig up from storage. They were brand new too.

Many years ago I kner a naturalist who told a story about a robin who built a nest on top of a school bus and successfully raised a brood, despite the fact that the bus made it’s rounds every day. I never believed a word of his story.

One morning, a few years later, one of our assemblers (who knew that I am a birder) came into my office and told me “I just went out to get something out of my pickup, and this crazy bird flew out and attacked me. I was busy, and sort of just brushed him off.

That afternoon, he came back to my office and said “When I went out at lunch time, that bird attacked me again.” Now, I was curious. I went out to the parking lot with him to see what was up. What I found, was a nest on the rear axle, with four robin eggs in, and a very angry robin trying to chase me away.

I carefully removed the nest and secured it in a nearby shrub. I wasn’t real hopeful, but the bird did go back to the nest. Eventually, the eggs hatched and the babies fledged. I have always wondered if that bird was making the 20 mile round trip with him every day, or if it was waiting for him to come back every morning.
