My wife is no good as a navigator, But she'd real good at hollering when I need to concentrate and DO NOT NEED any distractions.

Sounds like you know the type.

Of course if I get her to shut up she radiates hostility to the point where I offer to let her drive, She won't do that either.

Us too. I'm the worlds worst passenger and she's the worlds best navigator. Tallulah has actually driven 20' in 82,000 miles. Twice at a gas station she pulled the MH up 10' so I could gas up the toad.

My wife actually sat in the Driver's seat ONCE!

I actually pleaded with her to drive once. I said " Come on Honey, I want the opportunity to talk incessantly about your poor driving skills. I want to fly off the handle just once when you slightly jerk the wheel a 1/4 inch or when I think you are following too close". Aw common Honey PALEEEAAAASSSEEE?

She said "No". Go figure!

Mt DW's favorite comment... Turn back there! That is why we have Lola as our navigator.

She has yet to drive but I don't know if she will have the nerve. She ducks everything I pass a big rig.

I had a good laugh at your misfortunes Dog, but can relate. We were living in our coach for a couple months in an RV park and my brother came over for dinner. I was out fixing another disaster caused by my 2 dogs when the DW calls out the power just went off. After checking everything from the park power to breakers and fuses, 1/2 hr later found the salesman switch by the door was off. I guess my brother leaned on it when he took his shoes off. I also can relate to the Seattle thing. A couple years back we were coming home from AZ, and hit Seattle right in rush hr. We had our truck and fiver then and man what an hour that was. I may hold the record for being showed the middle finger and honked at in 1 hr (not including remarks from copilot seat). Two weeks ago my youngest son and I went down to Eugene Or. to pick up a boat he bought. It actually is a nice trip through Seattle when it's not rush hr. The bad part of that trip was he got a route from google maps that wanted to take us to the coast from Salem. After a 40 mile detour we got the map book out and everything was good. Next trip through there will be really early morning or late night.

Thanks for your "Like Kind" stories. I had to think that this stuff just can't happen to one guy!

Too many repair shops and divorce lawyers for that to be!

Madge sounds like our GPS Lee (Australian English voice). Very condescending when he says "Recalculating"! He's about gotten the 90mph hairbrush a couple of times. Plus sometimes he just shuts off and refused to function when he feels like it.

I've changed what my Garmin says.. Instead of 'Recalculating', It tells my wife to 'Pay attention to the damn directions!'

Been through Seattle before a few times without a problem.

Difference this time was:
- Not with an RV
- Not with a GPS
- Not with my Wife

Think about it....the deck was stacked against me! LOL
