My granddaughter a senior just took 5 seconds off her best-ever time and made the finals at the 2011 SC Southeastern Swim Championships now being held in Nashville.
Proud Dadeaux (BTW she gave me the nickname Dadeaux about 15 years ago).

Congratulations Del! I too am a proud "Grandad". One of my grand-daughters (got 9) is class valedictorian, NHS member (4.0), and accepted to Indiana University w/ academic full scholarship.  Aren't grandchildren Great!

That's great we have 7 (3 girls 3 boys and 1 GGson) Samatha has been accepted at both BYU and University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. I think she has decided on U ofA placing her close to home and making both parents and grandparents happy.
I'm hoping to see her swim in the Olympics someday.

I have been married to that lovely lady for nearly 35 years and hoping for 35 more, and you can tell from the glow in her eyes that she is still crazy over me.  The ironic part is that we are close in age but I'm often accused of robbing the cradle.

Congratulations Del & Charlotte and many kudos to your granddaughter. We're all aware of the many many hours she's worked to earn that place on the team. Our best of luck (skill & hard work) and encouragement to her in Nashville. May she climb out on the top rung of the ladder.

They do look like their grandmother Possum so once again I got lucky.
Samantha broke another of her personal records today; almost certainly she has secured a place on the college swim team for next year.
I'm jazzed and now I will quit bragging thanks for all your kind remarks.

I know I said I would stop bragging but some things just have to be said. Samantha has been visiting colleges and trying to decide where to go, several wanted her for her swimming ability but the one she dreamed of was Alabama and no offers...... until this week.
She is now a confirmed member of the University of Alabama Swim Team at Tuscaloosa.
Life is good.
