So if I take my TT, I have a place to "escape" which is in my TT which is parked behind the pole barn plugged into 20amp which is enough to run the A/C and fridge and TV
We can sure identify with that one!

As much as we appreciate the hospitality of other distant family members, we VASTLY prefer to comfort of our own RV to the smallish and uncomfortable beds they offer, the unusual night sounds and activities, the extremely early morning rising of my folks - and all the rest that goes with it...

The "extra" work and expense of taking one of our RV's along is cheap at the price!

Added to that, is the equally neat ability to offer use of our RV to visitors, so THEY too can have more privacy and freedom during their visits...

Just to add to the controversy, I recently took a "business" trip from Dallas to Mt. Desert Island, ME with a stop in Ct. for business (four days). It happens that my Operations Mgr. attended the same meeting in CT. My cost for driving (at the std. $0.50 / mile) plus a week at the campground was less than his for flying, half a car rental (we'd have had only 1 car if I flew), and hotel. Obviously, it took me longer, but I fit a vacation into the trip and actually extended it even further to visit family and recuperate at Hilton Head on the way back.
