Just some pics in Maine

Thought some of you folks might like to see some pictures of this neat place called Maine.

They have "Lobster Boat Races" in Maine. There are about 8 events a year, up and down the coastline. These pictures were taken today (6/19/10) in Booth Bay Harbor.

Here is the Champ-

World record holder (at this time)

About 1100 + horse power and 64 miles an hour!! Using alcohol injection. How would you like this engine in your class A gasser? It's a Chevy.

The owner (standing). Deck hand (sitting). At idle "taxing out" he was running at a good clip .

Folks going out to watch the races. They have several classes and many are diesels.

I am going to try to tell the "Alewives" story in my next thread.

Have a great summer--
