I assigned my DW to do that... but if I don't remind her each and every time something needed to bee noted, she just doesn't bother. When it got too bothersome to keep reminding her, I gave it up.

I used to keep track of gas purchased and motorhome milage per gallon; when gas got to $3.00 a gallon it depressed me so much I stopped keeping track.

"She who must be obeyed" keeps a strict diary where everything is recorded.

You want to know which color socks I was wearing on any particular date the wife will have made a note somewhere covering this important fact?

We also keep a log of our journeys with campgrounds and how much and did we like them etc. also fuel cost and MPG. We also log all repairs and maintainance to the Motorhome. My wife also logs our trips on a map as we travel. It makes for great memories.

DW and I started to journal back in 1999 for each extended trip we would make. My entries (at first) tended to be a lot of mileage and cost, but soon changed to what we were seeing and impressions it was making on us. DW wrote more about the experience and joy of travel.
We often go back and reread our journals to experience again the joy and wonderment of the adventure.
Our journals have been a great help to DW as she scrapbooks our and our grandchildren's adventure to take them on.

I am planning to start one. I want to do a sort of scrapbook thing with photos and such. I've never scrapbooked before so that's all new to me. Also I planning to write a book, a set of short stories about my travels.
