L.A. To Metropolis, Illinois

I am currently planning what looks to be a two-week trip to Metropolis, Illinois and the end of October.

Actress Noel Neill (the "original Lois Lane") will be remembered November 5 in Metropolis in a celebration of life memorial service. She was a friend and I have been planning go to Metropolis to see the Super Museum anyway.

Going there, I will be mainly on I-40 then jog north to Springfield, Illinois to see all the Lincoln attractions. Before heading home to L.A., I plan to take the 3-hour ride to Memphis.

Heading home, I will be heading west from St. Louis and going into Colorado to Durango and Mesa Verde National Park. Along the way, a stop at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum will be made.

From there, it's on to Monument Valley and Grand Canyon.

Anything else to see between St. Louis and Colorado on I-70? I am stopping to see friends in Kansas City, Kansas.
