I use Langenberg Telephone book online. They have a yellow pages, white pages, and give several different online search opportunities all on one page.

Alder (Black) is a little hard to find these days but it looks very similar to cheery. I use to help on a 3 block saw mill on the weekends (I brought the beer)

I have no idea if this will help at all, but if you don't mind an Orange County # you might want to give these guys a try (if nothing else they might be able to point you in the right direction).

Ganahl Lumber Co.
1220 E. Ball Rd
Anaheim
(714) 772-5444
or
Costa Mesa
(714) 556-1500

Austin Hardwoods & Hardware
Santa Ana
(714) 953-4000

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thank you all . Should be able to connect with that info. Another phone bk is always a useful addition to "favs".
For your kindness you may find "Profusion" a handy site for obscure searches. Unfortunately most of the results are sites on subscription access but drilling around has always provided info I was looking for, it's useful for statistical, historic data, etc.

Thanks.

I went to www.profusion.com and got this:

(The ProFusion.com search engine is down and will not be in operation any longer.

We appreciate the support of the many loyal users of ProFusion over the many years of its operation.

Thank you!

-The Profusion Team)

Do you know who they sold to? Is it http://www.pandia.com/metasearch/index.html ?
I'm always looking for new search engines, I don't like the way google remembers where you were yesterday and leads your search based on where you were. I'm a full spectrum researcher. I don't want the fact that I looked up 10 cubic yard manure spreaders to infuence my research on infinite probability. There's enough chaos theroy without the poop

Nuts, Haven't used Profusion in a while. It did finds no other would. I still use Webferret sometimes. Yes Google often pops up when I clk on a link from "favs", clk on it again and proper site somes up. I'll mark Pandia to try later. Don't know if it's where Profusion went.
