This fellow and his family was shown on CBS news tonight. He looks a lot younger when cleaned up. His Mother among other advice asked him to quit smoking. Art

PS. His Mother recognized him, dirt and all.

As an American I am extremely proud of our troops, as well as extremely grateful. As a Mom my heart breaks for the tragedies his eyes have seen. May the Lord bless and keep every one of them.

I have no doubt the Lord will bless them all, unfortunitely he will need some of them in different places, so we'll miss them for a while, till we can meet again.

Would you guys say an extra prayer for my nephew
Joey Morris, serving with the Marines in Fallujah. There have been two Marines in his unit killed since he has been there. He is now working some check point and we are afraid this is more dangerous than the previous duty.
He is a good kid and left college (pre-med) to join. His dad and grand-dad were lifers in the Air Force.
May God bless and protect our soldiers.

Just curious, who is this Lance Corporal James Blake Miller? Where is he suppose to be? Give us a little more background on this guy.

The picture of the Corporal is a representative shot of the entire force of Marines in Iraq. The picture presents the viewer with a tired yet steely eyed and determined portrait of a US Marine in midst of battle.

We have much to be thankful for that we have young men such as these throughout time itself that have given us a reason to be proud. Duty, Honor, Country, these are the words and attitudes that live in these young men's hearts as they continuously place themselves in harms way to protect our freedoms.

This morning when you open your door and step outside to pursue your daily life, think of them.

Welcome home!

...and now I know. I tried the search engines before but came up blank and after DriVers last input of suggesting the search engine ...I tried it again with a different approach. In GOOGLE, instead of just typing in James Miller (my mistake), I went for the full title, "Lance Corporal James Blake Miller" and out popped the full details. For those that don't know the story on this young brave lad, I suggest you do the same.

Thanks DriVer!

Rich

Just wanted to bring this thread to the forefront again, being as tomorrow (July 4th) is a day that we should be especially proud and thankful for these guys and gals for doing what they're doing so we can do what we're doing.

So, take some time out of your day(s) and remember every one of them.

We were at the Dallas airport the other day, waiting on our plane. Happened to notice a family in the corner, all of them crying, one of them was obviously a newly-minted soldier (didn't look more than maybe 14 years old!), and the rest of them were there to see him off to who-knows-where. We walked up and asked if we could shake his hand and thank him for what he's doing. They all looked so stunned that we'd say anything, but were so happy that we did. Now why was that so strange? Why shouldn't more of us be doing that?

Happy 4th!
Ron
