Yesterday it was 74 degrees but very windy... Where I live we had wind gusts to 77mph, In Pahrump just over the hill had gusts to 85mph.

Wow, last time we were there the temps were a bit warmer then that. Glad we're in Florida as I type. Let's see, 79 at the moment. Supposed to see 83 today. GREAT!

Rick Long.
I to live in LV. Went out to get the newspaper this morning and white flakes were swirling around me. The wind was blowing quite hard. We live in the northwest side and the mountain to the north has snow in it.

My wife was flying from Oakland, CA back to Las Vegas yesterday afternoon. After circling around LV for a while, they closed the airport due to high winds so her flight was sent to Ontario, CA to land. Winds finally died down early evening and the airport was reopened. Her flight resumed from Ontario and she finally made it to LV at around 9 p.m. - more than 7 hours late! At least she didn't have to find a room in Ontario. BTW, we live in Leeds, UT - a 2 hour drive from the LV airport where we almost always fly in and out from. Had the same darned wind here in UT where we had to batten down the hatches to keep stuff from blowing into the north 40!
