Leave Today For Central Oregon..

for our first ever RV adventure. Looking forward to getting out of this heat and enjoy some of that Oregon beauty.
More importantly, we get to see our grandson (2 yrs old) and be there for the birth of our granddaughter.
No matter how you slice it, it's gonna be nothing short of AWESOMENESS ! ! !

Hi Don and Dale, Sounds like the trip will be awesome. Oregon is amazing and to cap it all off, the birth of your Granddaughter. We recently did a trip from Mission B.C. to Socal via the 101 coastline in the same rig as yours, with our Kids and Grandkids on board. Everything performed flawlessly and the memories created will be with us all forever. Safe and happy trails to you Ted and Darlene

Congrats! How wonderful to be there at a birth of a granddaughter! And to spend time with a grandson!

Drive safe, and be prepared! And then you will really enjoy your time.

Made It...

..and so glad to be here.

Few things to note about this trip:
1. As mentioned previously, this is our first ever motor home and I was absolutely obsessed about making it safe and as reliable as possible to minimize any issues. One of several things I did was I installed the Safe-T-Plus and can't begin to tell you how glad I am that I did. With 40+ mile an hour mainly cross winds and 50+ gusts the ENTIRE first day on I40, it was a never ending challenge to keep the MH in my own lane and out of the desert. I'm not bragging, but I earned my gold star for my rookie badge on this first ever trip. The handling was so bad with this item, I could not even begin to think how I could have driven it through these conditions without it. I would have most likely parked it at the first available stop if I hadn't just turned around and gone back home! Add my name to the lengthy list of those who recommend this item..it comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by me!
The next 2 days of driving without the horrible winds was an absolute pleasure to drive the MH. So much so, I actually look forward to the trip back so long as the winds stay calm.

2. I need to give a shout out to DegoRed. The 5 star tuner is nothing short of fantastic. Another item that made the trip and MH performance a pleasure to drive. Another item that comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

3. Having issues getting hot water, but I think it's more me than anything wrong...at least that's my hope.

Overall, a GREAT trip and look forward to being here for the birth of our Granddaughter.

Congradulations on the new grand baby !
We are in Oregon right now at Oceanside RV Resort between Coos Bay and North Bend. Just a short walk to the beach. It's cloudy right now but at least the wind is down( drove me crazy!).
Just spent 2 weeks at the Mill Casino RV Resort in North Bend. VERY WINDY!!!!!
We're from the Sacramento area, foothills and out of the heat so I guess I shouldn't complain....
The park we're in now is situated in a cove so most of the wind is blocked and despite the clouds it's not cold. It's a small park, but nice, price is good too. Anyone around this area should check it out....except for this weekend holiday, it's supposed to fill up.
Oregon is breathtaking if ya can get out of the wind!
