You did leave the door open for that...
Well he's batting 500, plus he converted my daughter, she was brought up correctly in a liberal household.

I can stand nearly any sincere, well-thought out political, religious, or other viewpoint. Two things I can't stand though: people who assume everyone else must agree with them, and "haters." You know who they (and you, if the shoe fits) are -- the ones who can't just disagree with someone, famous or not, but has to declare that they're un-American, illegitimate, socialist, whatever.

Treat others with respect, if you expect the same ... not a difficult concept, is it?

WOW I guess maybe I need to either find a less wealthy group or try making more money. LOL working in corrections that is NOT going to happen.
I found out a few years ago money is not everything nor a way to judge people. I left a man who appearance and status was everything. How much your house, car, vacation home, which clubs, and what major events you attended gave you certian "rights" Proved you were better than those who worked blue collar.

I agree getting older does tend to teach you a few things about life ....I have found very few who can debate politics without someone lowering themselves to personal attacks.

Me yes I will admit I am what some would call radical rightwing. Too bad they dont know I use the common sense God gave me.

I don't discuss politics on iRV2. While it's not a forbidden subject elsewhere, I'll discuss other "things" here. Even leaving politics out, there are a few folks that occasionally push the envelope of civility, regardless of the subject - and I will 'respond' if directed towards my knowledge or opinion to that less then civil manner. Grammar and spelling police WILL light me up though.

politics can get very nasty. I wish there was a way to talk about it with out the personal feelings BUT politics is based on personal beliefs.

As for me I know there is good in all and I am open to learn from everyone.

I have said for years that the biggest problems with this world is the "I"M RIGHT, YOU"RE WRONG" attitude. I guess I learned that from my grandpa. He told the story about neighbors that belonged to a church that believed that if you didn't belong to their church, you were going to hell. One day one of them stopped and leaned over his fence and started preaching. He interrupted and said "I have as much respect for what you believe as you do for what I believe". He had no more problem from them. That's why we/they are fighting wars, churchs don't agree, people don't get along when talking politics, Etc Etc.

Truer words have never been spoken.

So often we'll see a post with words like "I use this brand of widget and anyone who uses that other brand of widget has to be stupid... but to each his own".... as if the last comment or a smiley face takes the sting out of the implication.

I have been told I'm "outspoken," I don't believer that - much!

So I guess I push the limit. One of the biggest things in me doing that is that you cannot see the smile or other facial expressions that would lighten the way i was typing something. Oh well! It's just me.
