I try to avoid any political post, as it violates the irv2.com rules. It appears there are few people that can engage in thoughtful intercourse about politics or politicians without name-calling, belittling, or berating others whose views differ from theirs.

I used to moderate a forum that had no rules about political posts. I left moderation and the forum after a few months. Life is too short.

I have a life long friend, we are about as different a two people can get, but we can discuss politics without getting riled up. Other than that I tread carefully, particularly with my RV friends---I want them to stay friends and politics is just to sensitive anymore.

IRV2-----discussing tires is enough already.

I find it truly amazing that people who have lived well into being a chronological adult and intelligent enough to have accumulated wealth to afford the RV lifestyle still act like a child when it comes to following instructions. Way too many posters (yes even on iRV2) seem to think the world needs to change for them.

I think some push the envelope a bit too much. Sarcastic remarks are not helpful to someone who really needs help with an issue. Comments about the age of your rig or social status are hurtful. Thankfully they are in the minority. I do however agree with the remarks about punctuation. It's hard to read a mile long sentence and not all that hard to hit the CAPS button once in a while.

It's hard to get to retirement age without forming strong religious and political views. For some it's difficult to discuss these views in a civil manner, wish it wasn't so, as much can be gained by all parties in a nice civil discussion, but alas some folks lose there minds where politics are involved. My daughter and her husband are republicans, I don't discuss politics with my son inlaw, it's like dangling a steak in front of a lion. My daughter and I can discuss it civilly, maybe because I'm her dad. It is possible to object to what is being said without being objectionable.Wait a minute I guess I just can't believe there's anyone as smart as me.

You just said your son-in-law has a better understanding of the real needs of our great country , and obviously he is smart enough to marry your intelligent, Republican daughter. He gets my vote...

You did leave the door open for that...
