The Wrangler is the Wife's and the Cherokee is mine - I built the cherokee from 4 different ones ended up making $1800 from selling all the left over parts - so it was free LOL - the body was a 87 that had 300,000 miles on the 4.0 (IMHO this was the best engine ever produced), picked up a 91 on ebay for 400 that had 90K but had a interior fire, picked up 90 that did not have the drive train on ebay for 200 but had a 6 inch lift roof rack, 3 core radiator, external tire carrier - had a friend that worked at our local pick a part that called me when a 86 Wagoneer limited came in that had a mint interior including a solid headliner instead of cloth and got the whole interior for 100.

I love Jeeps and think the 4.0 straight six should have never been discontinued - the 300K I swapped out was still in excellent condition with only slight wear internally but I had a low mile HO or I would have kept it.

Just purchased our new to us 2011 JK Unlimited 70th Anniversary Addition. Has 2" lift with 12X31 tires. It's already set up for towing but I have to change the base plate to a Roadmaster. It's fun..fun..fun to drive. The DW loves her Liberty CRD so now the discussions start as to over which Jeep to take with us!!

Hey There,

Take the JK and find Jeep trails, you won't regret it especially if you head out West for winter.

Cheers !!!

We're already out west and our winters are cold and lot's of snow.....which has me a little concerned over the width of the tires on it. Got a bid for studded snows with new wheels for $1600.....ouch

Spare Tire stolen from Jeep

Grrrrr ... DW had our 2012 Sahara parked at Dallas Airport about a week ago. She gets back to the airport, and the rear tire was gone. It's about $750.

Grrrrr

I've noticed several jeeps running around w/o a spare lately! Must be the latest target.

Wife went to the airport the next day to file the police report. She asked them where the cameras are in the parking lot. She was told that they cannot tell the public that.

I'm flying to Texas this weekend. I'll stop by the airport and talk to them. I may just have to take them to Small Claims Court. DW says, "Good luck with that!"

I got news for you. While DW was at the police station at the airport, another Jeep owner, with a Rubicon, was there reporting his spare tire stolen in the same lot. He had locks on the tires.
