The parents better do some more fishing and hunting soon. The pantry went from having 10-12 fish and animals ( Surf and Turf ) to almost bare.

Those chicks will need a lot more food, judging from their size already.

It's dinner time, but only 1 seems to be hungry. The other one's just sittin' there.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

The PGC is reporting eaglet (hatched Mon) didn't make it. Mom was feeding it just yesterday so I don't know what happened. Nature can be harsh.

It's getting windy again there today. Like trying to watch a rocking boat - makes me queasy.

13 dead eagles found in Maryland. Isn't that just wonderful people ? Wouldn't you like to put those violators on the endangered list ?

I just saw mom got up & turned the unhatched egg. Then sort of tucked the body of the other eaglet next to it & sat back down. I wonder if she realizes the poor little guy is gone?

This is a great thread, very interesting watching this bird living it's daily life. So much for privacy though. I like to check on it through out the day.

Unfortunately, the Pa game Commission thinks that the egg she-and-he is sitting on is dead and not going to hatch. I pretty much stopped watching the York County one and watch the other ones.

Too sad to watch what is looking to be a futile effort.

If this egg is dead, how long will she sit on it until she realizes it and when she does what will she do next? Is this it for the season or do they try again?
