Got a call earlier today that they had moved her back to ICU as she was very unresponsive. I was taking the grandson that lives with us to a dental appt so was going over after that.
While at the dentists one of the transplant team PA's called and said they now think that the new liver cells are trying to take over her bone marrow. Said it was very hard to treat and the next thing they look for is complete kidney and liver failure. Also, not to be surprised at how bad she is when I got there. Basically I think all they can do is pour in the antibiotics and pain meds and see what happens.
