They keep setting dates to move her out of ICU but then changing them. Yesterday they were planning on today and I haven't been over there yet to know.
BTW: did you know Medicare doesn't pay for Tylenol because it's an over the counter med? Neither does our insurance because Medicare doesn't pay for it. The hosp charges $83 a pill and they won't let me bring any in from home.

Sure hope they figure it out soon! Have you talked to the hospital Administrator about the Tylenol? I can understand why they won't let you bring some from home that have been opened, but maybe they would let you buy some at the corner drugstore and let them open them!

Just talked to the social worker about the Tylenol cost and left a message a few minutes before that with the liver transplant co-ordinator. So we should know something shortly.
Well, as I was finishing the note above one of the Dr's came in. Tylenol is the best non-narcotic they have, but they'll see what they can do. Not going to move her out of ICU today either. Too out of it to even do physical therapy either.
I'm not liking this at all!!!!

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Still praying for a speedy recovery, hang in there, Mr_D. As for the Tylenol, go to the Pharmacy and buy the individual wrapped 10 pack foils, see if those will suffice? Just a thought? Rail!

They have been giving her IV Tylenol, which is covered. Removed her neck mainline and put in a PICC line. Temp is running a little high at 100.2 to 100.4 indicating there's something going on. The liver is perfect though. Just treating her for an infection with broad band antibiotics. They say they may never find the reason. MRI came back fine too so no stroke or other damage.
Thank you all for your prayers and concern#
