"Here is what Jeff Foxworthy has to say about folks from Texas ...

> If you've worn shorts and a parka at the same time,
> you may live in Texas ;

>
> If 'Vacation' means going anywhere south of Dallas for the weekend,
> you may live in Texas ;
>
> If you measure distance in hours,
> you may live in Texas ;

> If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once,

> If you install security lights on your house and garage, but leave both unlocked,
> you may live in Texas ;
>
> If you carry jumper cables in your car and your wife knows how to use them,

> If the speed limit on the highway is 55 mph -- you're going 80 and everybody's passing you, you may live in Texas ;
>
> If you find 60 degrees 'a little chilly,' you may live in Texas ;

> If you actually understand these jokes, and share them with all your Texas friends, you definitely live in Texas or at one time or another lived in Texas or have or hadTexas friends.

We have been to the ''country of Texas'' many times and we love it. From Big Bend to Tex-arcana and El-Passo to Galveston island and about everywhere in Texas and we havent seen the complete state yet.
''The sun has riz and the sun has set
and we aint drivv thru Texas yet.''

It's the only state that I know of that you can ask someone where they are from and they will tell you............ ''West Texas'', ''The pan handle'', ''South of Dallas'', ''East Texas'' and speak of each area like it is a completely different state.

Lets thank our vets for our freedoms ......

A Texan rancher was visiting a farm in England and got to bragging about the size of his ranch. He said "I can drive my car all day, camp overnight, do it again the next day and the next after that and I'm still on my ranch."

The old Yorkshire farmer said "Aye, I had a car like that once."

Once a New Yorker was proudly showing a Texan Niagara Falls and said, "Betcha ain't got nothing like this in Texas?" and the Texan drawled back, "Yer right, we've got plumbers that know how to fix little leaks like this!"
