Our dog Ginger passed away last night, very unexpectedly. She was our camping and traveling buddy and she was always ready to get in the motorhome, even when parked you could find her in her spot on the couch behind the drivers seat. She always liked to be with us and was always friendly to all she met, her tail would wag so hard you'd think it should have fallen off. Somewhere her ashes will permantly ride where she enjoyed being.
She will be sadly missed.

They become more than 'pets' very quickly and will always hold a place in our hearts. My condolences on your tragic loss. Our heart goes out to you on your loss.

So very sorry sorry to hear this. I lost my outdoors buddy a year or so ago, my heart goes out to you and your family. Mine was the same way with people, tail wagged so hard he had trouble walking straight!

Hang in there...

So sorry to hear of your loss. We lost our dog Rosie about three years ago and plan to spread her ashes at her favorite campground hiking trails. Again, my heart goes out to you.

My Gift To Jesus

by Jane L. Sears

I wish someone had given little Jesus a dog
as loyal and loving as mine
to sleep by His manger and gaze in His eyes
and adore Him for being divine.

As our Lord grew to manhood, His own faithful dog
would have followed Him all through the day
while he preached to the crowds and made the sick well
and knelt in the garden to pray.

It is sad to remember that Christ went away
to face death alone and apart,
with no tender dog following close behind
to comfort its Master’s heart.

And when Jesus rose on that Easter morn,
how happy He would have been
as His dog kissed His hand and bark its delight
for the One who died for all men!

Well, the Lord has a dog now; I just sent Him mine,
the old pal so dear to me.

And I smile through my tears on this first day alone
knowing they’re in eternity.

We know and feel your pain. In 2004 when we had to put down our travel buddy of 13 years my wife stopped camping for over 5 years. 3 years ago we got our new travel buddy and are back in full swing.

So sorry to hear of anyones loss of a loved pet.
We lost our Sheppard of ten years two summers ago, and the hole it left in our heart is hard to explain to those who don't understand our attachment to animals.
All the best to you.

RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,

that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends

so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine,

and our friends are warm and comfortable,

All the animals who had been ill and old

are restored to health and vigor.

Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,

just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content,

except for one small thing;

they each miss someone very special to them,

who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together,

but the day comes when one suddenly stops

and looks into the distance.

His bright eyes are intent.

His eager body quivers.

Suddenly he begins to run from the group,

flying over the green grass,

his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted,

and when you and your special dog finally meet,

you cling together in joyous reunion,

never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upon your face;

your hands again caress the beloved head,

and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your dog,

so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

When I read the above Rainbow Bridge it always brings tears to my eyes,I know that someday I will meet up with Ginger and our other dog Lady again. You see Ginger was the replacement for Lady who we took in as a stray. They were cut from the same mold and no finer dogs you could meet.
Thanks for all your thoughts I appreciate them....

Regards,
RovinOn

So sorry for your loss. These special critters in fur suits are in our lives for way too little time. We have lost two special camping buddies and each is remembered for all of the great time we had with them.

So sorry about your loss! Our Australian Shepard is almost 15 and we don't look forward to the day she is gone. She also loves to travel in our truck when we RV or just go in the truck. I have to take her to the post office every time I go because when she sees the truck going, she has to go also.
