I heard on TV that Snoqualmie Pass has had about 5' of snow in 5 days. The pass has been closed most of the time the last 5 days. It is still closed and will be for an indefinite time. What a mess. They were saying that 10K trucks use it a day. Most are just waiting as there isn't much choice. The only pass that's been open much is a 2 lane road. They said last night that the loss in business is a million $ a day.

At our son's home in Park City UT the snow is 8-10 ft high, road is only cleared to single lane, another big storm is forecast for Sunday. He is unable to get large snowblower to throw over the existing snow bank. The county has used up its budget all ready. Yearly total on Park City ski area is 226". Trail depth is 105"

**** this global warming is making it into a paradise.

Will this help relieve some of the drought out west.
All that snow has to go some where.

The worst part is you can't get to the ski areas.

Thats when you get snowshoes and do some cross country traveling to go skiing. Or even some cross country skiing and maybe come in from the other direction.
I have had several of my kids as well as my mother call me complaining about all the snow they are getting in Utah and wish I was there to help them.

Washington has had more backcountry snow related deaths this year than any other year, even before this blast. Ironic in that the two major passes are only 3,000 and 4,000 feet in elevation...

I heard on TV this morning that Snoqualmie Pass has had 386" snowfall this winter and they expect another 12 to 14" tonight.
