These folks have the right idea.

According to this article which is worded a little differently in my local paper, Ralph and Mary Stebbins from Michigan picked up their check after winning the $208 million Mega Millions jackpot and they didn't stick around for the news conference. In my local paper it was reported they "hit the road in a recreational vehicle" and they're on the road now and that's what they've always wanted to do.

They're are in their 40's, been married for over 20 years and have three teen age kids. They quit their jobs and plan to buy the recreational vehicle and travel.

Maybe they'll join iRV2?

I'd buy a show cow too... But it would be a peice at a time scattered between many steak houses with porches and views... Good for them...

Thats about what I would like to do if we won the lottery or something like that.

HOPEFULLY they can enjoy it without all the leeches coming out of the woodwork and pestering the heck out of them.

When I was traveling the county with the race team I saw a lot of this.

I have met and been around lots of folks (Easily recognizable names and faces) who could not really enjoy themselves when out in public. Too many folks wanting autographs or whatever.

But when you were around them, away from the "Limelight" they really enjoyed folks to just treat them like "Just another person". Not "Xyz the celebrity", "Politician" or "Race Driver".

That's why if ya come around my campfire you will be treated the same no matter WHO or WHAT you are.

This reminds me of Washington license plates I saw coming through an RV park. The very expensive looking motor home had plates that read LOTTO 1 and the toad? ...it was LOTTO 2.

We can only dream for now because my wife just suffered through what was called a "restructure" at work, but if that day ever happens to us, we will continue to be thankful for and enjoy what we have...., oh yeah and GO Camping!

Lotto 1 and 2, it probably goes into Lotto double digits depending on the size of the cheque!

Safe travels to all!

Mike.

I live like I won the lotto since 1) I have to anyway, and 2) I'd probably end up working again anyway since I figure life has a purpose greater than me.

Then again, it would be nice to get a 40 footer.

Rich & Zara,

Great pictures of Alaska! Was stationed at Ft Richardson from 78-81. Drove to Seattle and took the Ferry going up and drove the AlCan coming back to NH. Fortunately we had a MH back then so we could enjoy the beauty of the land. Been back (flew into Anchorage and rented a MH) in 96 & 00. Hopefully in a couple of years we will drive up and back once again. Before we do that 12,000 mile trip it would be nice if gas prices would drop. Guess if I buy THE WINNING lottery ticket gas prices won't matter.
