OMG HuffyPuff...what in the world were you thinking? Listening to your conversation in the bus tells me you weren't paying attention to the obvious...his left signal light. You notice he also came over slow enough to get your attention and you still insisted on holding your lane until he finally had to commit. I can do X4 or X5 and more on everyone else who obviously saw what you didn't but, you're already pretty bloody by now. Here's the upside to this...I have no doubt...none what-so-ever, your posting this video on this forum for an opinion opened YOUR eyes and YOU, hopefully, will get the most out of it...that's a good thing. I would strongly urge you to NOT send a letter and a copy of this video to this truckers company. I can almost guarantee what you'll get in return is a xerox of a middle finger. Thanks for posting HuffyPuff, I'm sure others will learn from this as well.

The lane does not end without warning. That why they put them big signs up.

Aside from the other comments, that probably wasn't as close as you think it was. I have 15' of blind spot in front of me.

We like you just not your driving, don't take it personal. I too was from that old way of thinking while driving till I bought the MH. This is not a pick on by everyone here but, at 4:02 you asked the question "why would that guy want to come over". Answer he needed to go to the 3rd lane from the left to get onto interstate 210 (only 3 lanes going that way). You were in the closest lane for that route. You were in the far right lane and the only merging lane for oncoming traffic to gain access to the 210. No where else for him to go but in "your" lane. Very risky trying to "own the lane" someone could get hurt. Please consider the input from others here. It could save you or someone else from your driving. It's not fun learning the hard way, I know...

No matter what you are driving, slower traffic is always in every state required to be in the right farthest lane. By him slowly moving over he was trying to get your attention. In my driving experience you both put everyone else in danger. I would also recommend to show this to a police officer"but" be prepared that you might hear that you were also in the wrong.

Again I was in the lane I was supposed to be in as the far right of the left three lanes. I was only going 5 MPH slower than the speed limited or 7.7 percent slower. I don't know how you think I done wrong for going slower to be safe and then tell me to slow down even more. Yes I did see his turn signal on and wonder why he was about to turn into me. I thought he was trying to be a bully as he proved later. Look at the video again and stop when he turn into me and you will see clear road ahead of him, not a ended lane. I did check my mirror to get over but was not safe as a car was coming up my left side. Look at the video again and you will see it pass me on the left soon after.
ABF safety department says his training is to put him either behind me or to the left if he wanted to pass. That is where he was supposed to be not in the far right as you and other claim. If I was in the next lane to the right it would of been the wrong lane for me also. Anybody can share the video with a police officer as it is on YouTube to be view by the public. Seem to me this is a pro trucker site and truckers can be bullies to grandma and pa.

Give it up. You were wrong even if maybe legal. If the driver gets into another safety training class and brings up what happened his trainers will agree about stupid other drivers.
OTOH If I answered the phone with your call I would have told you what you heard because it is the politically correct answer. It would not have slowed me down an instant for reaming out the driver if he was 5 minutes late at the delivery point.

How many slow passing trucks have you seen? Sometime they can take forever to do so with other trucks. My comment about him coming into my lane was he was not holding his lane very steady. He was otherwise passing me just fine but decided to turn into me too soon to be a bully. You thinking the company should mail me a middle finger makes you a bully too. I hate to be living that kind of life as a bully but will rather get beat by the billy club than to summit to lies.

I think you both are at fault here, but more you than the truck. While it is not enforced very often, the trucker has to stay in the #4 lane unless he is passing, which is where you should have been until just prior to the interchange as you were going 60 in a 65. The trucker also most likely has a governor, and can't go any faster. The trucker had his signal on letting you know he needs to change lanes, and the lane ends shortly after he started coming over. Had you been paying attention, you would have slowed down to let him in, or you could have slowed down or sped up and changed lanes since there was not much traffic. Being considerate works both ways. I would slowed down and let him in, but I also drive that section of the 210 a few times a year and stay in the right lane unless I am passing someone.

First he pass me on the right in a lane he was supposed to exit, he was going about 10 mph over the speed limit and I didn't signal that it was clear. I also had a car to the left of me so I couldn't change lanes. When I blew the horn to let him know he wasn't clear he responded with the finger. I had to hit the brakes and change lanes when the car passed to get away from that crazy driver. One friend told me that some truck drivers don't like mom and pop driving slow in their motorhome.

I have not read through this entire thread before posting plus I don't mean any disrespect BUT I drive that section of the I-210 a LOT especially when I am going to Sam's Club for supplies because I have to get off of the Paxton Exit which is exactly where your complaint is about.
The truck driver knew exactly where he was going and what he was expecting up ahead BUT you obviously weren't paying attention to the overhead road signs.
Prior to what happen there was an interchange where people to the right exit onto CA 118 as the signs indicate. On that same row of signs is one for the Paxton Exit where I get off to go to Sam's Club.
If you were paying attention there is also a merge to the left just after the Paxton Exit if you are not exiting at Paxton. He had his signal on I am sure well in advance BUT you were not allowing him into the merge lane where you are.
Since he was well ahead of you it was YOUR responsibility to slow down and let him into the merge lane. It's not like these guys are driving race cars to speed up and merge. Plus hauling trailers that sway a little occasionally is normal, something that ALL vehicle driver's need to know.
In New York State on the I-90 Thruway you will have doubles that are well over 100 feet in total length. The rear trailer can sway up to about 3 feet. I know this because my nephew drives one for a local dairy company.

OMG...huffypuff you still don't get it so let me be very frank in hopes of saving you or someone else. The 3 beer bongs and 1/2 bottle of Jack that my 2nd sons best friend drank before taking my sober son for a ride, killing my 18 year old son in 1996, cutting the lip of the drunk driver, who thought he could "still drive". Being right can get you dead, D.E.A.D. is still dead! You seem like a nice guy so I beg of you to step back and look again in another view of what happened. Try putting his shoes on. Giving up the road is not loosing sometimes, it just lets you go down it longer. An honest try! If not willing please post a picture of the back of your rig so me and others can avoid it on the road. I'll be more than happy to "slow down" when I see your rig and give you all the road "YOU OWN" or need.

Just because you are riding witth tthe cruise control on does not entitle you to the whole road. All cruise controls have accelerate and decelerate buttons as well as cancel. With the majority of the semi ahead of you and with his blinker on and running out of road, you should have had the courtesy to hit either the decelerate or cancel button and allow him to pass. Once he is by just hit resume. This is merely being a courteous driver. Those buttons ar right at your fingertips. I would have slowed down. A couple miles an hour would have been enough.

I am not sure how many are aware, but there is a second video, and the OP cut out the section where the driver flips him off. This is Road Rage at it's finest, he pursues the truck to get a picture of the driver in the second video. I have to ask, why is the female in the background keep saying "Don't do anything stupid"? This tells me there is more to this, and the edited out section probably has footage in it that tells the real story.
Driver's make mistakes everyday, if you feel someone is driving so bad you need to pursue them to take pictures of them, it is time to call the Highway Patrol and let them sort it out. Cooler heads always prevail!
