Maybe I need to find a station closer to home

Because the radio station I usually stream (while at work) began playing Christmas music the day after Halloween, I decided to boycott it & searched I Heart Radio for a nice calming music station.

The 1st one that came up was a station out of Miami. Now, between song lists played, I get to hear "Today's weather: Sunny, winds light & variable, high near 80-degrees...tonight clear, low in the mid-60s". I'm in OH.....that's just depresssing.

Back to searching for a station farther north...

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

I'm about as south as you can get here within 100km of the southern most border. Everything is relative. Kids love snow angels, skiing (some of us discourage boarding still...), sledding, riding bikes, snowball fights... Or when the car spins and fish tails, usually on purpose

In some communities inflorida they have fake snow three times nightly and even a day when they bring in a snow maker for resident kids, they have to sign a waiver!

Try Classical Music America.. All classical Music, Studios in Farmington Hills, MI.. Last I knew I'd taken at least one of the staffers to lunch on one occasion and had lunch with another. (We both dined at the same place and he noticed a bumper sticker of mine) of course it's classical music, and no weather reports.
'
If you like a specific type of music.. Again you could try Detroit area stations, Most all of 'em stream to web now days.

Oh, my FAVORITE broadcast staion.. Alas is no more.. it is also how I know the folks from Classical Music America.

Pandora is pretty good for streaming music. You can set up your preferences and the type of music you like, and make your own playlists.

X2 for Pandora, and for a small yearly fee ($36/yr) no commercials or other interruptions.

I have streamed any type of music I desire, through my MH sound system, almost anywhere in the country. I use the app on my phone, on my PC, on my iPad, via Bluetooth in my car. I even have the app on my TV's and stream it through them. All through the same account.

Sirius-XM monthly cost is about what Pandora costs per year for the paid version. I'd much rather pay $36/yr versus $36/mo. And Sirius-XM charges you for each device, where with Pandora, I play it on all my devices with the one annual cost. Just my 2 cents worth.

To play devils advocate Pandora on yoiyr phone does use your data, as well no cell tower = no Pandora. However tunnel and lots of trees = siriussly in trouble. Mp3 player = limited to what you pyt on, just some foosdvfoe thought. Besides 8 tracks sound better

96.3 The Wolf may be more suitable.
