Medicine
This coming winter we're going south for at least 3 months maybe 4 for the first time. What do you do about getting the medicine you take daily? There are 3 that the insurance only allows a 30 day at a time supply. How do you handle getting medicine when not at home?

Wallgreens, Walmart, K-Mart, CVS or any other pharmacy. They all transfer scrips. Not a problem, been doing it 17 winters all over sunshine country.

We transfer our prescriptions. My Angel gets hers from WalMart. But the other stores will do it also, CVS etc.

We had to switch from a local pharmacy to Wal-Mart in order to be able to get medicine pretty much wherever we are. I sure miss our local pharmacy!

We went with Wallgreens...even in Alaska. Webster Springs, WV. doesn't have one, however.

We were with Walgreens just for this purpose until they stopped accepting our insurance. We now have a local pharmacy. They told us all we have to do is have the other pharmacy call to transfer the Rx. When we get home, we have to do the same thing back with our local pharmacy. Just make sure you have enough refills left for your time you are away and it will be easier for you.

Normally I use two pharmacies.
One is Novixus this is the specified mail order Pharmacy for my insuirance plan..Some meds (And by the way THANK for for the reminder, that's my next web stop) Are cheaper that way.
For other meds I normally use Wal*Mart, because everywhere I go, there also are thy.. Walgreens and CVS do not always show up alongside the roads I travel (plus are higher cost)
But if not for the cost and such I would use Walgreens or CVS cause I really do not like Wal*mart...
Walgreens I know uses a central computer You hand in the script at ANY Walgreens,,, ALL Walgreens can access it and re-fill it.
Wal*Mart does not use a single computer.. So it takes a bit longer to change stores..But they will do all the work for you.. Just sometimes you need to come back tomorrow.

We use primarily CVS, or Walgreens. Except when we were in Alaska, we've been able to find either no matter where we are. But fortunatly for us we get 90 day supply's with 3 refills, which is pretty much a full year. Then when we do our yearly check ups, it starts all over again.

My prescriptions are with CVS, my wife's are with Walgreens (we're on two different medical plans). Neither of us has ever had a problem getting a refill, no matter where we happen to be.
