Hi All,
Hubby is retiring at the end of February and we are driving down to visit family in Apache Junction.
We're heard stories about getting good dental work done in Mexico and I was wondering if anyone has been to a Mexican dentist...one they can recommend.
Thanks for any help
Barbara

Hi Barbara,
Here's a list of threads on Mexican Dentist that you may find interesting.

Dentists and Optometrists in Algodones, Mexico
We used a dentist in Algodones, can't remember his name but OH had a root canal & crown for $120 and three years later all is still well.

Like the post above. My wife and I both have had a lot of work done there. Very very satisfied with the dental care and no better prices anywhere. Quoted $2400 for root canal and crown in the states. Cost in Mexico $400!!! When you go there just park in the parking lot right next to the crossing. Walk down the entry to first main street and take a right. The dentist we used has a nice pharmacy in the front and is on the left side of the street after turn right off the main street.

There is one, as I recall in Mexico City, first name Joe (Alverez perhaps) if you find him tell him to get back on community.compuserve.com/diabetes. we miss him there.

Driving from AJ to Mexico City (1600 miles each way) seems silly to me. The dentists in Algodones have excellent creds from what I have heard and from my wife's cousin's experience.

You all may already know this but just in case .... make sure your US passport is current or you won't be allowed re-entry into the US. The days of coming and going into Mexico without a passport are over.
