Mexico Dental Implants

Howdy , I just joined . I live in Houston TX and at age 83, need several dental implants. In browsing Google, the closest implant dentists are in Nuevo Progreso, Mexico , near Brownsville, TX . Prices seem about 1/3 of what it would cost in Houston, so I'm interested. I would appreciate any comments or advice on this. Thanks, Dan

We've just arrived at the "implant or bridge" stage and would also be interested in comments.
Prior work in N. Progresso includes 3 crowns ($140 each) with the crowns being made in the US (McAllen) overnight!
N. Progresso has had some incidents of violence but nothing like most of the border towns. We feel that daytime trips within a couple blocks of the bridge (probably 50 dental offices in that area) should be as safe as many areas of certain US cities.

there is so much violence on the border towns these days, I would hesitate to go across. I work with police departments in the valley and they think it is not safe to go across any more.

I have heard many good stories on results of dental work though, if you do decide to go.

I have no knowledge of implant work in Mexico but do for Costa Rica.

Contact me if you have an interest. All dental work in Costa Rica can be paid for and have money left over to pay for the whole trip and then some!

Hey, if I can't trust the water, I'll pass on dental work.
