The technology behind this stuff is sound. Mice can't stand peppermint, period. My grandmother, who basically lived in the woods, planted peppermint plants around the house to keep them at bay.
However, at $100 per gal, not me. One can go to a health food store and by concentrated peppermint oil. Putting a few drops on cotton balls and leaving in all the bays does wonders. You could also dilute it and spray it in other areas. I would admit spraying the whole frame would be better, just depends on your wallet.
