For the record, President McKinley never set foot in Alaska....why should Denali be named after him?

That's correct - Harding was actually in the state.

Since Ohio is upset maybe congress should rename Campbell Hill, (which at 1,550 ft is the the highest point in Ohio), Mount McKinley.

[QUOTE=Big-Foot;2724435]- I am surprised that he didn't find some way to get his own name on the mountain./QUOTE]

Well, since he did smoke a lot of pot in his college days, and Denali means literally the High One...........................

So true, crisis abound yet our gumint spends time and resources to rename a mountain. I guess it deflects our attention from what is really important.

McKinley was one of our worst presidents and is most famous for being murdered, for allowing the newspapers to chivvy us into attacking Spain and for rationalizing our brutal conquest of the Phillipines by saying we'd Christinize the Filipinos, most of whom were already Catholic.
