The printed versions of the Mountain Directory books have almost 240 pages of text and color relief maps. All 240 pages are in the downloadable versions of the Mountain Directory ebooks. Nothing is missing. In the printed versions, mountain pass locations are marked with a yellow triangle on the color relief maps. In the ebook versions, you can click on the yellow triangles and the text appears that describes that location.

I have them both and would not go mountain driving without referring to them. Thanks for posting. Someone asked the other day about driving Teton Pass. BTDT in a B Van - would not consider it with DP. It makes for good reading!

Hello Tumble Weed, yes we ordered the West directory last year before we took a trip out west for 3 months and found it to be a very very valuable tool.

Also have both. They are useful, even some of the grades and turns in the Eastern mountains can be impressive- 13-14%. (Avoid with the MH, enjoy in the TOAD) Also shows highways that are closed to vehicles over a weight or length limit.

We never plan a trip without it. A "must have" in our opinion.

That's what I love about this forum. There's always something new to learn. After 40+ years in the transportation industry I had never heard of these books until this morning. They like great tools to keep on hand. Thanks!
