Mud dauber screen

Was told not to leave the muddaber screen on in the winter. Is this true

Hi Davidrkinder,
Welcome to iRV2. My screens (water heater, furnace, refrigerator) have been on the coach for 6+ years. I see no reason to take them off.

wondering who told you that? why take it off in winter, just to have to remember to put it back on later. besides, if it's warming up where you are like it is for us here in GA, they'll be out n about looking to plug up your pilot lights in a few more days, LOL

Define the length of time for "Winter." That is going to vary depending on your geographical location. So, no, tell you to leave it off in the Winter is someone's who heard, from someone, who heard from someone, and so on.

Put it on, leave it on, and check it periodically for integrity.
