I like it, except for the fuel bill. At least it should climb hills without a problem.
That right there is a 5 ton. too many lug nut for a Deuce.

Bet its tow rating is out of this world.

Wow Memories, I drove a 5 ton with a 5000 gal tanker with jet fuel, out of Mannheim Germany back in the 70's.
I wonder how much it would take to RV over there? I remember quit a few places I would go back too see.

I knew this was a 5 ton,,, I drove a duece... no power steering,, BUT after talking to my Dad,,, (a trucker),, I turned up the fuel pump,,, no turbo on those Contenital "multi fuel" engines,,(20+ approved fuels) but that thing would Run !!! I'd pass 5 tons going up Cow House Creek Hill,,, blowin black smoke,,, My guys in back would be hollerin,,, laughing at the other guys,,, LOL,,,, Ah,,, the good old days...... Sometimes we'd go out on our weekley trips at Ft Hood and see how big of trees we could push over.... Man if you had a half a brain,,, those things would go anywhere !!!!

Oh yeah!
That would be great fun, but you would need to tow a fuel tank.

And, oh boy, do those things growl. But only all the time. :-)

Top speed fifty, cruising 35 (convoy speed) It sure was not built for comfort but would make a great hunting rig in the back country where mortals fear to tread.

We have a 76 unimog in pieces in my garage. That would be a cool camper...
