Nascar can't say Gentlemen Start Your Engines this weekend

Bobby Labonte was the only Gentleman left in Nascar

His brother, Texas Terry Labonte, is quite the Gentleman also. He doesn't have a regular ride, but on ocassion still "competes" in some of the "start and park" cars. Terry, like his younger brother, is a former NASCAR cup champion also.

Am I telling my age here?

I know that one time it was "Gentelemen, along with the first lady ever in the history of this race" or something like that.

However they could only do that once too.

Re;Gentlemen

Now don't get me wrong, I think Mark the Kid Martin is/was one of the best drivers ever. But his time is up at the end of this season. They(MWR) already stated that Vickers will be full time in the 55 car for 2014, now unless mikie should start a fouth team, i think mark will down the road. After all this is the 3rd year at MWR for Mark.

Mark was always a good guy and tough competitor...but like all....age does seem to slow the wins being added. Just another unfortunate fact of life :(

Heck there isn't a more likable guy the Kenny Schrader....he is still out there having fun...he hasn't been considered a guy to run for the win in ages....but he's having fun and not 1 to cause problems

the last passing of the gentleman drivers

The Labontes, Martins and Schraders are the last remaining parts of the Nascar I used to love.

I watched an ARCA race several weeks ago because Schrader started on the pole (and won). As they were lining up, the announcer commented that Schrader had already run almost 400 races before the 15 year old next to him was born.
