NASCAR CEO and Chairman Brian France and NASCAR President Mike Helton said a technical bulletin will be released later Saturday, updating the rule book with rule 12-4(l). The rule reads, in part, that “NASCAR requires its competitors to race at 100 percent of their ability” and that artificially altering the finishing position subject to penalty.

And thus NASCAR shoots themselves in foot,...... one...more....Time.

That will be quite interesting them trying to regulate sand bagging.

This isn't the first time its happened and it won't be the last.

Evidently NASCAR does not agree with you, as evidenced by the fines imposed.

I've heard other drivers say he is the worst driver on the track and they need to keep him out of the announcer's booth.

NASCAR is a business and and attracting people to come spend their money is their main goal as with any business. Sponsors, Owners, Drivers and many other peoples livelihood depends on the success of the series . Spending a week side stepping all the unanswered questions didn't bode well with NAPA.....Holding a Press Conference with Clint Bowyer admitting to faking a spin would have been a great place to start. I guess even after all the NAPA commercials Michael didn't really have " The Know How" after all. I applaud NAPA for making a move to show everyone that they feel a really bad decision made by Ty Norris shouldn't be swept under the carpet.

Loosing 16 to 18 million sponsorship going to crimp his style a bit. Going to be next to impossible to replace that.

Greed is the reason and honesty and integrity went out the window. Its pretty sad when rules have to be made to try to instill integrity and honesty.

I used to be a fan till the politics of racing came in. They regulate the races with the yellow flag until the favorites get to the front. You can tell by the empty seats at the race tracks that fans are sick of it and the high prices of the event tickets. They have priced themselves right out of filling the stands. JMHO take it for what it's worth. Jim PS Mike Waltrip has always been a IDIOT in my book.

It's like everything in life, it's all what you make of it. If I sat there as the only person in the stands I'd be happy as a pig in mud. Do I agree with everything NASCAR does no but I still like when they drop the green flag and go racing. I've been watching since 1968 and see no end in sight !
