Planning on heading to Richmond in a couple of weeks. This will be our first time visiting the track.

Any suggestions on where to sit?

I like the front stretch, however I have friends who wouldn't sit anywhere but between 3rd and 4th turns. I don't think there are any bad seats there. Its a matter of where you Like to see the race from. I also will be parked in J lot.

If you are leaving the track after the race be prepared for the worst traffic patterns I have ever seen anywhere. It took us longer to get the three miles to the interstate than it did to watch the race. We had pretty good seats though. We were up high right near turn three. You can only see the tops of the cars in the back stretch sitting there though.

We will be staying over Saturday night in the coach. Hopefully no traffic issues when we leave Sunday morning.

we went last year and no traffic leaving on sun. also get tickets fairly high up because if you sit too low you will not be able to see the other side of the track. we stayed in their camping lot about 1/2 mile away but it was not aproblem with all their shuttles running. wish i was going but just got back from martinsville and planning to go to bristol in august.

I'm going for the first time, in my new-to-me RV. I'm in Lot J, as it stands right now I'll be getting there Thurs night. Looking forward to it!! I hope it doesn't rain too much tonight and turn it into a mudbowl.......
