It's a great story but these are not primary residences. They're second homes that people built on federal lands . They knew this when they built them

I just heard from one of my friends who chose to go into a national forest for some hiking. She parked her car outside the barricaded parking area and hiked in. Came back to find a $ 75 parking ticket. I called it the price of anarchy LOL

Unfortunately the civil disobedience will only cause problems for the folks least responsible for the mess. Rangers don't want to close parks, everyone I've ever met enjoys sharing their knowledge and love of the park's wonders. I understand closing some parks because a lack of funding, but closing off D.C. memorials or putting cones up blocking pull offs near Rushmore on a state highway is just petty. I was in the Black Hills week before this nonsense started. If I had encountered cones on HW 244 blocking pull offs I probably would have moved one and pulled in.

Several posts have been deleted since they contained political comment not directly related to RV'ing. If this continues the thread will be closed. Thanks.

Earlier warnings about refraining from posting political comments having been ignored, this thread is now closed.
