So whats the big deal, even the new head of our US Treasury beat the IRS outa $50,000. He said it was a mere oversite. So the congress passed his appointment. I wunder how any of us would be treated if we did it. Our poor country !

i use Turbo Tax too. I wunder what the IRS would tell ME, if I came up $50,000 short on my taxes. They just let the new head of the US Treaury slid on his absent minded mistake, he forgot to pay! Sure he did. The country has been taken over by Slim Balls. Our poor country

Steve, maybe they would appoint you to some position too. It probably would involve barred windows and locked doors.

Heck, I'd just like to be in the position of owing the government 50 grand in taxes!

Relax: 2009 isn't over and someone is going to have to pay for the bailouts.

but we are all still here on the up side of the grass and we all have RVs which a lot of people dont have and we all have computers and internet (even if some are stealing the signal from the neighbor) and if we didn't have something to cuss about we would be really unhappy

No, I really think the world as we know it is coming to an end. Other than that, I don't really see anything else thats positive and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. DO YOU?

Tom. Its funny to me how some folks can have you know what running down their backs and think its just rain. Yes Tom it's coming to a close and most dont see it, that is what really erks me. I sure hope our new Pres. can turn this around.

I too believe the world as we knew it will come to end very soon and hopefully a new day will start again with the sound of Bailey's alarm at 5:30am on the nose. This orb we live on may stop spinning in the next three seconds or three billion years, either way I will have no complaints. The glass remains half full.

A lot of what is happening now reminds me of my teenage years in the 70's growing up in Oregon. One lumber mill after another was either laying people off or closing down. Stores in the mall were closing one by one. There were long lines at the gas pump on the odd or even day you could buy gas. The Vietnam war was raging as were the protests, etc. Yes, the world as "we" (mening my parents/grandparents)knew it then was coming to a close and for me the future looked rather bleak. But look what has happened after that! Some bad but a lot of great new things. And you know what? We made it through and not only survived but in the end thrived. I am thankful for all I have been blessed with and am learning some great lessons in being careful with what I have.

Certainly there are some bad things looming on the horizon and the cirumstances of life will undoubtedly get harder and more complicated but all is not lost unless you give up and let life flatten you.
