New Year Resolutions?

Quote:
A New Year's resolution is a secular tradition, most common in the West but found around the world, in which a person makes a promise to do an act of self-improvement starting on New Year's Day.
Some people like making them. Some people like breaking them. Some people just think there a waste.

If you want to share yours join in.

Mine is to have more fun time with less hours worked in 2014.
Life's to short to work 60 hour work weeks anymore.

If something is so UN important as to wait for a specific date (new-years) to start, rather than start when you decide it should be done, chances of follow through are slim.

Thumbs up

I resolve, while posting on iRV2, to behave in a fashion consistent with this from the iRV2 Home Page:

"iRV2 is the leading online forum community and social network for RVers. We strive to foster a kind and friendly atmosphere for our members to exchange knowledge about their motorhomes, trailers and experiences they have with traveling, repairs, buying/selling, and more..."

If you think I've strayed from the kind and friendly part, please let me know (in a kind and friendly way, of course).

Seriously. Let's keep this the best place on the web for rv'ers. Too many other places are caustic. I resolve to do my part.

I resolve to not bite anymore on the "Thor vs. The Boutique Brands," "Diesel vs. Gas," "Direct vs. Dish," "Which brand is better" and similar threads.

Most everything works on my RV as it is. I don't need a lot more stuff I don't already have...and I feel blessed.

And thanks to the OP for starting the thread...I was gonna do it, if it wasn't already here.

Happy New Year, and safe travels to all

I agree. Somtimes we forget how blessed we are.

I had a coworker tell me when my wife and I upgraded to our newer RV that I was SPOILED.

I replied NO - I work hard for the things I have and because I can, I feel I am Blessed, not spoiled.Just like I don't feel that same co-worker was spoiled by owning three $18,000 HD motorcycles. He worked hard to get them so he was Blessed that he could do so.

By the way Ed-Sommers - I totally agree with you thinking on New Years resolutions. If you need a special day to try and get on track you are doing something wrong. If you want to change something act on it now.

Best not to tell anyone your resolutions, that way nobody will know if you don't succeed with them.
