I have some great ideas for flying the drone and filming the motorhome while we are driving down some of the remote roads.
Needless to say, it will be a two person job.
I'm not a fan of the Federal Government by any means, but I just don't think it's a good idea for anyone to operate a drone from any moving vehicle, nor near any road, remote or otherwise ----- just sayin'

I would agree under normal circumstances, but the Alaska roads I have in mind are really remote. If my wife drives and I fly it should be safe, there is no one around for miles.
I hope this does not go off topic because it is not RV related but here my latest drone video.

Beautiful video.
A guy I work with uses one to make videos also, of course the scenery around here is as pretty as it is there, but they sure do take some neat videos from a perspective you wouldn't normally get.
The FAA can go pound sand!!

Awesome video! We just picked up a Parrot drone yesterday. Have not had a chance to fly it yet in the rain but soon...

The FAA has jurisdiction regarding the flying of drones, but when did they get jurisdiction regarding the posting of videos? I think that is protected by the 1st amendment.

In the news this week, The FAA has admitted it has no authority over posting of drone videos on YouTube!

No Drone Videos on YouTube

I have a lot of videos I took with my RC helicopter. I started RC videoing 10 years ago and we built our own mounts. The helicopter is still flying fine and has a new owner. About 1 1/2 years ago I donated it to my local police department and they couldn't be leave me how old it was because those one other cities has is about 30 grand. What I told them the group I was with we put our heads together and shared all info. We worked out the vibration problems and I put a 3 axes control and down linked video and controls to my wife who flew the camera. The new owners has updated the camera and added some other things to it and the cop that flys it loves it. It was funny the first time he tried to fly it he almost rolled it. I told him it was heavy 15 lbs and even though it's RC you can tell this and sure enough he made it to 2 ft above the ground and almost a hard landing. So I took it and showed him this is how you do this. He told me he flew RC helicopter and does all these stunts and I told him get that out of his mind. He did and now he is happy and he made points because he is the only one that can fly it. Others have tried but gave up.
